Note: DivE & Div1 play in the same group with an adjusted handicap
The following applies when a DivE player meets a Div1 player:

1 – Div1 gets the 8 and the 9 as scoring balls
2 – Ball 8 is to be placed behind the 1 in the rack before the break
3 – If Div1 pots the 8 unannounced during play, the 8 stays in the pocket and play continues, but Div1 scores no point for it
4 – If Div1 pots the 8 on the break unannounced, the 8 is spotted and Div1 continues to play
(It is Div1's responsibility to watch for the 8 going in on the break; otherwise it stays in the pocket if this is noticed afterwards)
5 – If DivE pots the 8 on the break (announced or unannounced), it stays in the pocket and DivE continues to play as normal
6 – If DivE pots the 8 and also scratches with the cue ball, the 8 stays in the pocket
7 – If DivE pots the 8 on a push-out, the 8 is spotted
